Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!!!

Dear Medfield Families:

Hello from your Medfield K-8 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! We hope that you had a great summer, and we are thrilled to welcome you and your children to the Medfield K-8 community.

WHO IS THE MEDFIELD K-8 PTO?

The K-8 PTO is an organization of parent volunteers that support the Medfield Public Schools and enhance each and every child’s education in and out of the classroom. Part of what makes the Medfield K-8 schools a great place to learn is the widespread support and engagement from our very active parent community.  Each school has its own PTO that provides opportunities tailored to that school.  We come together as a town-wide organization during the course of the school year to share ideas, fundraising opportunities and provide financial support across the district.

WHAT DOES THE PTO DO?

Throughout the year, each school’s PTO supports school initiatives or activities, hosts events and works with School Administration to a) foster a strong school community; b) provide opportunities that reach every student and; c) fund school improvements over and above what the school budget can provide.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT THE MEDFIELD K-8 PTO?

The K-8 PTO supports initiatives, activities and events designed to reach every Medfield K-8 student and parent. Here’s how you can help:
  • Pay Your Dues – The PTO requests support from every family because every family benefits from the PTO’s activities and events. The suggested amount is $30 per child. We understand that not every family will be able to give at this level but we encourage you to give what is financially comfortable. You can now pay your dues online through PayPal.  Go to our website www.medfieldk8pto.com. Also, you can still pay by check.  Please send all checks to: Medfield K-8 PTO, P.O. Box 387, Medfield, MA 02052

  • Volunteer – Just as important, the PTO and the schools need and welcome your volunteer spirit! Please attend PTO meetings, consider volunteering at an event or get involved in your own way – there are many jobs to fill and we need your help! Please check your individual school’s website and fill out the Volunteer Form.

In closing, we urge you to visit the K-8 PTO website and the website of each individual school for the latest events and information. Thank you for your continued support. It’s going to be a fantastic year and we look forward to supporting each and every child inside and outside of the classroom!
